BSides is a community-driven framework for organizing and holding information security conferences, originally conceived in the US in 2009. The concept arose from a call for papers for Black Hat Vegas that year, which was oversubscribed, leading to many quality speakers being rejected due to lack of space and time. These speakers decided to organize their own conference on the "b side" and thus, the BSides movement was born.
Since then, many BSides events have been held in several countries across the world. BSides has gained a reputation as a conference by the community for the community, with events that are generally inexpensive to attend and rely heavily on sponsorship to pay for the venue and other costs. One of the key features of BSides events is their smaller, more intimate networking atmospheres and breakout discussions, which foster strong audience participation and overall group interaction. These events create opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an atmosphere that encourages collaboration.

We are excited to be hosting the first-ever BSides event in Germany in September and look forward to bringing this unique conference format to the local community. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting event, and we hope to see you there!

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting submissions for talks. As a community-driven event, we are looking for passionate speakers who can deliver technical talks on offensive or defensive security.

Presentations can be either 20 or 50 minutes long with 5-10 minutes of Q&A, and we are interested in hearing about a range of topics, including but not limited to network security, cryptography, embedded devices, mobile phone security, wireless, incident response, threat intel, penetration testing and red teaming, blue teaming, purple teaming, and other relevant security topics.

Vendor pitches will not be possible at this conference, as our focus is solely on technical content and community-driven discussions.

If you have a unique perspective or experience to share, we encourage you to submit your abstract as soon as possible. Our team of organizers will review all submissions carefully and will be selecting a diverse range of speakers to provide attendees with a well-rounded and informative conference experience.
